Software archives mining deals with the automated extraction, collection, and abstraction of data from the information generated during the software development process (e.g. source code archives, bug tracking systems, etc.). The chair for software engineering offers the software design lab in summer terms. All bachelor students have to pass this lab once. The goal of this lab is to teach students how to work in teams. For this purpose, the students will be grouped in random chosen teams of five students each. Each group has to design and implement a non-trivial software system in Java. The lab takes 6 weeks of full time work. This year, the lab will be held from September 1st 2008 till October 10th 2008.
